My 93-year-old Gran has always been an inspiration for staying curious and creative in older years. She's an artist and has been most of her retired life - which has been almost as long as I am old! She sells her paintings online and posts on all social media. We have such rigid expectations of what growing old looks like that we can miss the possibilities it holds, especially with all that free time and wisdom (hopefully)!
Simply j'adore. There's a series The Guardian that I love reading called A New Start after 60 (I think). I also like the nuance of you saying not that you'll just try or do the thing, but see if you like it. A small thing, but something I think is often missed.
Ohhhh definitely going to check out the Guardian series. It so inspiring to hear other people's stories as a reminder that if you want to do the thing, at any age, you normally can.
